Admission of critically ill or uncounscious patients that needs ventilatory support machines to the ward - Administration of prescribed medications and fluids - Canullation and catheterization - Monitoring of vital signs - Sunctioning of patient's airway ( via endotracheal tube or tracheostomy tube)when necessary - Assessment of patients using Glasgow coma scale - Prevention and treatment of pressure sores - Passing of Nasogatric tube for Feeding of patients and administration of drugs - wound dressing if applicable - Delegation of duties to subordinates and health care assistants - Training and supervising student nurses during clinical postings - Reporting and documentation of care - Collaborating with other health care teams such as doctors in resuscitation of patients - Putting safety measures in consideration
